Sumit Raj Sinha, Script Writer, Mumbai
Earlier working in Banking and Financing Industry, Sumit is now a Film writer and Director. At the beginning of his career, he directed several ads and TV commercials including bluechip companies and Consumer Products and later shifted his original goal of film making. He wrote and directed his own story “Bioscope” for Green Grapz Production in 2013. He also wrote screenplay and dialogue for the film “Farq” for Masterworks Production, “Number Game” & “Balidan” for Anup Jalota Production. He was appointed at Episode Director for his researched work on “Mahatma Buddha”.
Currently, Sumit is writing for a feature film “Lakeeran-the Destiny”, "Waapsi- The Return" and "Kalankini".
Also, he completed another feature film project that was incomplete and was earlier written by “Jab Jab Phule Khile” and “Ye Rat fir Na Aayegi” fame writer Late Brij Katyal.
the dedication and endeavours to create an unmatched content by Sumit can be easily spotted whether the richness of mood, the texture of the worlds, his characters move through, and the contradictory nature of humanity etc. His work can be self-reflexive and sprawling, grotesque, dense feasts of the senses, and tender.
His scripts provide no easy answers, exploring dark corners of the human psyche with irreverence, glamour, and panache; his scripts feel fresh and challenging, particularly when it comes to detailing the nature of desire.
Sumit graduated with Physics Honours, MCA, MBA from India's reputated business school and got campus in ICICI Bank, BKC, Mumbai. He worked with MNC Banks and Financial Corporations for more than 10 years in various capacities as Manager, Senior Manager and eventually a VP and National Head of his verticals. Also, Sumit completed his Post Graduation in Film Direction from Mumbai University. He is keen skills in editing on Final cut Pro 10 as well.
